Four Energy Associations Back DOJ Effort to Eliminate Anticompetitive Regulations

On March 27, 2025, the U.S. Department of Justice launched its Anticompetitive Regulations Task Force to identify and eliminate state and federal rules that suppress free market competition and harm consumers, workers, and businesses.

RESA, REAL, EPSA, and TEPA jointly submitted comments to support this important initiative. The joint filing highlights how regulations that limit competition are increasing energy costs, limiting consumer choice, and delaying investment in innovation, including in fast-growing sectors such as AI and data infrastructure.

We urge policymakers to advance market-driven reforms that foster competition, empower consumers, and position the U.S. for long-term energy and economic leadership.
